Hey guys! I'm Elessa and this is my beauty blog. I've really liked things of the cosmetic nature for some time, and so I decided to make a blog about it. We'll see how this goes in terms of how often I update. Thanks, and if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to go to my ask box and let me know!

Thought I’d do a little “what’s in my makeup bag” (click to embiggen)
from top to bottom, and left to right[ish]
These are the products I use on a daily basis, and I love them all. If you guys have any questions about any of the products, I’d be happy to answer them. This is kind of my “best-of” collection, but I’ve got drawers and drawers of other products. Maybe when I’ve got more time on my hands I’ll use them and do fun tutorials and things like that.
Product review: Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash mascara in Blackest Black.
So right now this is the mascara I use daily and I absolutely love it. For the longest time I was looking for a mascara that didn’t leave black under my eyes after wearing it all day, and then one day in Sephora I bought this little guy and it’s been going well ever since. The brush is one of those more plastic ones (for lack of a better term) as opposed to the classic bristled mascara brush, but it’s got a million tiny tips on it, so it makes your eyelashes look really full and separated. You can get it at Sephora or online somewhere for about $13. (I’m pretty sure this comes in blue and possibly other colors too, which is always fun)
A close second would have to be Loreal’s Extra Volume Collagen Plumping Mascara in Black.

Sometimes I’m really weary about drugstore products but I’m a repeat buyer of this one, and both Loreal and Revlon seem to do a FABULOUS job in terms of having quality products. The brush is different on this one, more a classic mascara brush, but it works just about the same as the Buxom lash one. You can pick this up at your local CVS/Walgreens/Target for about $8.
